RED, WHITE + BLUE TRIFLE

Yield: Serves 6

Ingredients:

1 package Brooklyn Bred Thin Pizza Crust (4 crusts)

1 tablespoon coconut oil, melted

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1 8-ounce package cream cheese

1/3 cup granulated sugar

1 cup heavy cream

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 cups fresh raspberries

2 cups fresh blueberries

Fresh mint for garnish 

Instructions:

Remove 4 Brooklyn Bred Thin Pizza Crusts from package. Combine coconut oil and cinnamon. Brush evenly over pizza crusts. Using a serrated knife, cut crusts into 1-inch pieces; set aside. 

In medium bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar with electric mixer for about 30 seconds. With mixer on low, gradually add in heavy cream and vanilla extract. Continue beating until mixture becomes light and airy (like a very soft whipped cream).

Assemble the trifle: Combine berries; set aside. In 2-quart bowl, layer 1 cup of bread pieces, 1 cup of cream-cheese mixture and 2 cups of berries. Repeat layering one more time with remaining ingredients.

Garnish with additional bread pieces and fresh mint. Refrigerate until ready to serve. Enjoy!
