4th of JULY BREAD PUDDING

Wake up to something festive this 4th of July with this red, white and blue bread pudding. Made with our favorite, Brooklyn Bred. It’s the perfect morning treat the whole family will love!

4TH OF JULY BREAD PUDDING

Yield: Serves 4

Ingredients:

For the bread pudding:

1 Brooklyn Bred Regular Pizza Crust

2 large eggs

1/4 cup whole milk

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Zest of 1/2 orange 

For the cream cheese glaze:

4 ounces cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup confectioners' sugar

2 tablespoons whole milk

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Preparation:

Preheat oven to 350°F. Remove 1 Brooklyn Bred Regular Pizza Crust from package. Slice crust in half evenly, then stack one on top of the other and cut into 1-inch cubes. Add bread cubes to a baking dish and set aside.

In a separate bowl, add eggs, milk, vanilla, cinnamon and orange zest. Mix with a whisk until well combined. Pour egg mixture evenly over bread cubes to coat well. Top with blueberries and raspberries. Bake for 35-40 minutes.

Meanwhile, make the cream cheese frosting. In a medium mixing bowl with the whisk attachment, add cream cheese, sugar and vanilla. Beat until smooth and well combined. To serve: drizzle bread pudding with cream cheese glaze.
